Most fiction writers reject their characters are not representative of all persons living or dead, they bear responsibility. However, Jim Gilliam's DNA in its main character, Tim Kelly depicted in his thrilling novel, Deception Point. Once enrolled in the U.S. Coast Guard under 14 for lying about his birth and education after his military service, a parallel career in the police, both Gilliam and Kelly have a lot in common.
